Fergus is the director of the firm’s tax department and oversees all aspects of the taxation services to our clients. He specialises in succession planning, ensuring a smooth transition for all parties.

Biography

Fergus graduated with a degree in accounting and finance from NIHE Dublin (now DCU) in 1986. He is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and was previously a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in the UK.

Fergus specialises in taxation and has a broad experience in dealing with taxation issues for on both a personal and corporate level. Having worked in the UK for 11 years, Fergus returned to Ireland and joined O’Brien Harnett & Associates in 2001.

He has also assisted clients in preparing for and dealing with Revenue audits and investigations. More recently, he has also been involved in preparing submissions for NAMA and banks.
